Settle Down For a Tale
Heads up because Tales Up has something really scary or really exciting for you. With their multiple stories and chapters, you and your friends can play together.
The Game of The Play
Tales Up is a game launcher kind of game, kind of like Roblox. Most stories require a certain amount of people to play it, but you can add “Companions” which will fill out the rest of the party.

The game is free, so it's no shock that only one chapter of each available story is unlocked. The rest of the chapters the player would need to purchase with in-game currency. And some stories need to be purchased to unlock to be able to play.
There is a main campaign story, but each chapter will unlock after the player reaches a certain level. The player levels up from playing these stories with friends or alone.
The tabs that are displayed on the side of the screen are:

Adventures: The stories you can play.
The Gallery: The main campaign story. (It's solo only.)
Social: Find & add new or old friends to play with.
Companions: Purchase new hidden companions to be able to play larger required stories.
Rewards: When leveling up or completing quests.
Shop: Purchase in-game currency.
Menu: Classic menu with different options
Then at the bottom, you can quickly join a friend's game by typing in the lobby code of the hosting friend.

Visual & Audio
The stories are built up with one background image that changes once or twice the further into the story you get. And it will display cards with images on them, allowing the player to kind of see what their surroundings would look like and how people they meet would look.
Then there is an instrumental song playing in the background, which can change depending on the situation the story leads into or even play certain sound effects.
Backgrounds and songs are different depending on the story you play. Likewise for the stories, they’re all different with different themes.
Pros and Cons

My final little thoughts
Tales Up allows the player to try a few of their stories first chapters to give them the freedom to decide if they actually want to spend money for in-game currency, which would act as simply buying the game, and unlock a whole book (aka all chapters of a story).
I noticed that the game is meant to be played on the web browser, as it does look cleaner than downloading it through Steam onto your PC.
But all in all, I highly recommend this game if you and your friends or new potential friends like scary, funny, exciting, dramatic, and more stories. Try out a few different stories and purchase the rest of the chapters to play the full story and see where it leads.
