This review was made based on my experience playing on a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GBs of ram and a GTX 1650, be mindful that my experience can differ from yours depending on the hardware.
Time For You Chapter 1 is a NSFW point & click game that tells the story about an amateur detective looking for answers for the disappearance of their parents. Be aware that I’m only reviewing the first free chapter of this game and that the target audience for this game is straight males and people with a stalker fetish.
Questions you might have if you're interested in playing it
What is it exactly that you do in this game?
Gameplay-wise this game is very similar to the Ace Attorney games: you look for clues around the levels to gather evidence, then you interrogate NPCs and confront them when they are lying with the evidence that you previously found. The good thing about this game is that you can’t really fail or get soft locked.
Will it make my eyes bleed?
It's fine. The models and the backgrounds are nothing special. The feminine models are detailed, have nice textures but the faces go a little bit into the uncanny valley. The NSFW animations are 2 or 3-second-long loops that are not really good, way too stiff for my taste.
Does it have a good story?
It’s weird… I will have to play the rest of the games in order to give you a judgment of whether it is worth praising or not. The characters are bland and interesting, but I have to admit that the things that this chapter is setting up made me want for more.
Does it have a good soundtrack?
It’s fine, the OST is neither annoying nor memorable or exciting. All that I can say is that it exists and I don’t have any problems with it. It’s just background music for you to listen to something while you read.
Does it have replay value?
This game is a mostly linear experience and after you experience the game for the first time you pretty much have seen everything that this game offers. So I will say that besides in-game achievements and browsing the gallery for the NSFW animations, it has none.
Does it run well?
It runs flawlessly. There is not much else to say. It’s a game that is not very demanding and I didn’t have any problems with it.
Is it fun?
As someone that liked the Ace Attorney games I enjoyed it, it is not as good as those games, but it’s fun enough.
Is this game worth my hard earned money?
Considering that the first episode is free and you can get around one hour of content with not much enjoyable NSFW content. If they asked money for it, I would say that it would be hard to recommend it. I would like to mention that this game sells the “official walkthrough” for $5, I’m sure that eventually someone will do a complete free guide for this game and I understand that they have to monetize the game in some way, but this feels really bad.
But If you like free stuff, or games that are similar to Ace Attorney and have about an hour to burn it’s an easy recommendation. For everyone else… you certainly can do a lot worse but there are better free NSFW games on steam.
Rating: 5/10
As for NSFW games, you can certainly do worse.
