This review was made based on my experience playing on a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GBs of ram and a GTX 1650, be mindful that my experience can differ from yours depending on the hardware.
“Welcome to Free Will episode 1 and 2” is a NSFW visual novel game that tells the story of a 20-ish years old man that looks for his missing mother in the town of Free Will. To solve the mystery of her disappearance he has to literally fuck with his childhood friends and their mothers. Be aware that the target audience for this game is straight males.
Questions you might have if you're interested in playing it
What is it exactly that you do in this game?
Like in most NSFW visual novels you click on stuff, read dialogue, make decisions over random choices, explore locations and chat with NPCs in order to progress the story… and obviously you watch short videos and slideshows of naked women.
Will it make my eyes bleed?
It's average. The models and the backgrounds are nothing special. The textures are great but the faces of the characters go way too deep into the uncanny valley for my taste. The animations are fluid and have good “jiggle physics” but they are only loops of 2 or 3 seconds.
Does it have a good story?
I don't think you should take the story of this game seriously, it’s an excuse to get your character involved in lewd situations. The main character quickly forgets that he has to look for his mother and starts mating like a bunny. I particularly like when your avatar says “my silence won’t come cheap” and asks for a bribe of $30.
Does it have a good soundtrack?
For the first time on my time reviewing NSFW visual novels I can say that it’s great! There are even songs with lyrics and they are catchy and enjoyable! My only complaint related with the soundtrack is that sometimes the songs with lyrics are in scenes that last 20 minutes and you have to hear the same song 3 or 4 times in a row.
Does it have replay value?
Beyond achievement hunting and looking for the extras there is none. I like that you have some secrets inside magazines that you have to unlock by paying attention to the plot of the game and going back to the magazine to write down the answer, but they only give you a single image for them.
Does it run well?
It runs flawlessly. There is not much else to tell. It’s a game that is not very demanding and I didn’t have any problems with it.
Is it fun?
It’s fun enough. Your enjoyment of this game is going to depend on your tolerance for click and point trappings, how funny you think the writing is and how hot you think the NSFW parts of the game are.
Is this game worth my hard earned money?
If you like this style of game and you can tolerate the weird expressions that the characters of this game can pull off, it’s worth it. The NSFW bits are short but great. Each episode will last you around 1 hour for the low low price of “free” it’s a sweet deal.
